Basrah - College of Pharmacy Media:

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held a workshop titled "E-learning and its Importance in the Present Time." The lecture was delivered by Walaa Nsaif Jassim, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy.

The workshop included a detailed explanation of modern methods in education and the employment of modern communication mechanisms such as computers, their networks, and multimedia, including audio, video, graphics, and search mechanisms. All of this can be summarized as the use of technology in all its forms to deliver information to the learner in the shortest time and with the least effort, achieving greater benefit.

In addition, it included an explanation of the most important programs used in e-learning, including the Moodle system (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). This system was designed on educational foundations to help the course instructor provide an integrated electronic educational environment. The system gives the instructor the ability to easily and conveniently create and design a personal site to manage the course in an electronic format.

The workshop also covered the capabilities of the Moodle program, its most important features, how to employ it in education, and the method of uploading instructors' lectures onto this system, in addition to reviewing the conditions and types of uploaded lectures.
