Basrah - College of Pharmacy Media:

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a symposium titled "Scientific Research is the Basis of Academic Work." The symposium discussed important topics aimed at stimulating and activating scientific research in the lives of the academic staff, especially as it has seen a decline compared to research outputs in other countries around the world.

The first topic of the symposium included a definition of the scientific research group recently established in the college, along with the research work and future activities of this group.

The second topic featured presentations by members of the research group from various disciplines. This serves as a preliminary step towards collaboration and communication, aiming to connect scientific ideas among researchers and paving the way for constructing effective research teams in the future.

The third topic discussed the activation of a journal club in the college, which aims to keep researchers up to date with international scientific developments. The symposium recommended urging researchers to maintain their efforts in the fields of scientific research within the college, inviting others to participate in the various activities of the scientific research group. It also emphasized the necessity of teamwork to find solutions to the several challenges facing researchers, particularly regarding financial support.
