The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah actively participated in the launch of the "Nafas Al-Basrah" (Basrah's Breath) environmental initiative, launched under the directives of the Governor of Basrah, Eng. Asaad Al-Eidani, with the broad participation of various university colleges at the Karma Ali Campus.
The college's participation was marked by the presence of the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Dawood Jallab Hleil, and the Head of Student Affairs, Mr. Raed Jameel, alongside college students and staff members. This involvement reflects strong support for environmental initiatives dedicated to expanding green spaces, fostering an afforestation culture, and safeguarding environmental sustainability.
The campaign featured planting trees in the garden adjacent to the University Monument at the Karma Ali campus complex, as well as distributing trees and saplings across colleges to enrich the campus environment and enhance its visual appeal.
For his part, Dr. Dawood Jallab Hleil affirmed that this participation aligns with the College of Pharmacy's commitment to supporting voluntary efforts, advancing community partnerships, promoting eco-consciousness among students, and instilling core values of social responsibility and collective action.
